COUNTRY INN & RETREAT, CORBETT NATIONAL PARK
A six-acre mango orchard along the river bed outside Corbett Park became the setting for the retreat. Planned as a getaway from Delhi, its easy accessibility combined with the shadowed mango groves provides a setting of quiet rejuvenation. Twenty rooms set under trees are meant to suggest the solitary hut in the forest. Though linked to the main hotel, their isolation in the orchard acts as a reminder of a once forgotten place, the forest lodge.
